Choosing Comfortable Footwear

Can you be an individual who may choose footwear that is fashionable over comfort? Or are you even you’re somewhere in the middle? This is often a painful, and sometimes harmful choice. If you lean way towards footwear fashion over the comfort factor, you may walk around all day looking good, but be in the most miserable pain.  On the flip side, if you go radically all the way over to the comfort side of footwear, then you may end up with some hideous looking boots or shoes!

Now, people may not laugh at you, but my guess is that you wish that neither of these things occur. This is often why you would like to search out a happy medium to balance between the two.  As in most things in life, this small compromise applies equally as well to footwear. We all need comfy shoes that look good!  This is never more true than most working adults who are on their feet all day long.

Have you heard some of these ridiculous foot ads?  “you gelin?, I’m gelin. . “  Yes, they sound ridiculous, but the truth is when your feet hurt, you’ll do almost anything to make the pain go away.  The key is that your feet’s well being starts with comfortable footwear.  Of course these ads are a bit extreme, but they drive the point home.

When it comes to boots or other shoes with high heels, I’ve known lots of women who will wear them all day long in the workplace, only to come home with aching feet.  This makes no sense at all, no matter how good you look in those shoes.  Why would anyone wish to try to to this? It actually is a horrible thing to do to your feet, not to mention the affects it can also have on your legs and back.  So when thinking about going for fashion over comfort, think about where you are going to wear your boots or shoes and choose accordingly.

Now when it comes to costume boots, you know that you’ll only be wearing your footwear to one or very few events.  Under these circumstances, you CAN pick some outrageously looking boots for your costume because you know you are only going to be wearing them to one party.  However, if you have to wear a costume to a longer event for work or some other occasion, then you may have to give up a little on the fashion side and choose some costume footwear that will be more comfortable for your event, but still looks great with your costume.

So when it comes time to choose your costume boots, think about the purpose of the event.  Is it a party, short period of time, or maybe you can sit down a lot?  Then go for the most outrageous costume boots that compliment your costume.  If you need to wear your costume all day long for an event, then go with costume shoes that are much more comfortable.  If it is something in between, you may consider going with the more outrageous and then purchasing some comfort inserts to make them a bit more comfy.  Hopefully, this will allow you to pick any of the extravagant costume boots or shoes that go with your costume without giving in to much on the comfort side.
